It seems to me that you really are an Obama hater.  What gives?

  Guess that's my cue to buy your book then, huh?  I love your books.  You know that.  You and I agree on plenty.  Actually, I was stirring it up a bit on your site.  i know you're not a hater, Reverend.  I am quite aware that you're a man of God.

I disagree with Obama, myself, but I disagree with McCain, too.  I couldn't win no matter who I voted for this election.  I liked Huckabee, less that you, but I liked him.  I love the fact that he's a Christian but his "fair tax"  was something I wanted to like, but didn't have enough details on to feel confident, and I'm afraid he was trying way too hard to pimp it to the public without detailing it.

Obama is beholding to many many left-wingers ... far far left, I'm afraid.  Translation, there will be a whole lot of new secular laws that squash the rights of Americans if Obama pays back those who believe he owes them.  Truthfully, I give him alot of credit for being a good politician.  That means, he'll want to be re-elected, which in turn means, he'll probably shift to middle-of-the road to keep his position.  He's made the history books but if he's smart, he'll go for the legacy.

I think, the election of Obama to the presidency elicited worldwide enthusiasm and raised hopes for quick, positive changes. Especially in African countries and much of the global south. At present, what remains of that enthusiasm, of the immense hopes and great expectations that his election had raised? One may argue that one year is not enough to judge the work of his administration. But some decisions and actions during the last months may give an indication of the kind of policies he intends to implement for the duration of his term. I personally can’t the positive changes Obama promised. Unemployment continues to rage, and common people still live through no credit payday loans. Besides, are prospects for peace enhanced under Obama’s administration? If yes, why? What are the lessons learnt from past negotiations? The questions remain to be answered.
